Automation of patentability for utility models
Abstract
Automating the process of finding patentability for utility models would involve using technology and tools to assist in patent search and analysis. Levels of automation could depend on how much human interaction a system needs. The automation systems would be fully automated systems, semi-automated systems, and partially automated systems. The utility models only require novelty and industrial application. The process would involve checking patentability requirements and conducting a patentability search. First, the automation will thoroughly inspect industrial applications. Then, it will check the novelty of the device. The automation would involve AI to learn some real-world logic and natural sciences, such as physics, chemistry, etc. The field of science would depend on the operational field of the utility models. The AI would be implemented with OCR capabilities. From that, AI would do some data mining to find some keywords, key terms, and classifications. Since the AI would be implemented in Azerbaijan, the found keywords and key terms would be in Azerbaijani and Russian. But since we are also searching for some English-implemented databases, AI would also have a translation function. We would use the API of patent databases, which would give access to the databases. AI would find a few documents and, based on its training from search reports and search strategies, it could judge those documents (depending on the type of automation).
